W\u00e4hrend die DTM aktuell in ihrer 36. Saison mit einem Rekord-Starterfeld f\u00fcr faszinierenden Rennsport sorgt, begeistert der DTM Classic Cup die Liebhaber historischer Tourenwagen. Die Geschichte der Traditionsserie lebt, und wie! Wenn der DTM Classic Cup vom 12. bis 14. August im Rahmen des traditionellen AvD-Oldtimer-Grand-Prix auf dem N\u00fcrburgring startet, gl\u00e4nzt die aufstrebende Rennserie f\u00fcr Tourenwagen vor allem aus der DTM-\u00c4ra von 1984 bis 2007 mit einem geradezu historischen Starterfeld \u2013 mit 34 Fahrzeugen von sechs Marken, mit 42 Piloten, darunter sieben ehemalige DTM-Stars. Der Start des DTM Classic Cups beim AvD-Oldtimer-Grand-Prix, dem hochkar\u00e4tigsten Klassik-Event auf dem legend\u00e4ren N\u00fcrburgring, ist ein einmaliges Gastspiel au\u00dferhalb der vier Rennwochenenden im Programm der DTM 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Mit 34 Tourenwagen ist es das gr\u00f6\u00dfte Starterfeld der Saison. Zu den bereits angetretenen Marken Audi, BMW, Ford und Opel gesellt sich neben drei Volvo erstmals auch ein Mercedes 190 EVO2. Und ins Volant dieses Klassikers aus den jungen Jahren des Werksengagements der Stuttgarter Ende der Achtziger und Anfang der Neunziger greift einer, der sich mit beachtlichen Erfolgen und ganz viel Sympathie in die Herzen der DTM-Fans gefahren hat: Roland Asch. Der DTM-Vizemeister von 1988 und 1993 wechselt sich mit Markus W\u00fcstefeld (GER) am Mercedes-Steuer ab. Zu den PS-Gladiatoren vergangener Tage, die im DTM Classic Cup ein ums andere Mal zeigen, dass sie das Gasgeben keineswegs verlernt haben, geh\u00f6ren neben Asch auch Leopold Prinz von Bayern, der D\u00e4ne Kris Nissen, der 87er DTM-Dritte Marc Hessel sowie der erste DTM-Meister Volker Strycek und Olaf Manthey. Der ehemalige Vizemeister, der in der N\u00e4he des N\u00fcrburgrings beheimatet ist, freut sich im BMW 635 CSi der Schumann-Br\u00fcder, dem \u00e4ltesten Tourenwagen im Feld, auf sein Heimspiel.<\/p>\n<p>Die Autogramme der ehemaligen DTM-Helden sind hei\u00df begehrt, noch mehr jedoch ihre kurzweiligen Geschichten, die sie zu erz\u00e4hlen haben. Geschichten erz\u00e4hlen auch die Autos, jedes einzelne hat seine eigene Historie. Etwa der atemberaubende Opel Calibra, mit dem einst Formel-1-Weltmeister Keke Rosberg in der DTM startete. Oder der bullige Ford Mustang V8 GT, mit dem einst der Berliner Gerd Ruch zum Fan-Liebling avancierte und mit dem nun der Kelberger Guido Momm auf seiner Heimstrecke startet. Oder jener BMW M3 aus dem erfolgreichen Schnitzer-Werksteam, der damals wie heute vom D\u00e4nen Kris Nissen pilotiert wird gejagt wird. Mit dem Opel Vectra im Original-Warsteiner-Design, mit dem am Norisring vor gro\u00dfer Kulisse Gerhard F\u00fcller einen grandiosen Sieg im DTM Classic Cup feierte, gab in den Neunzigern Uwe Alzen Vollgas. Oder der neu aufgebaut e und ehemals von Hans Kalaschek pilotierte BMW M3, den erstmals Philipp Kennewell f\u00e4hrt, der ansonsten mit einem BMW 3.0 CSL im DTM Classic DRM Cup teilnimmt.<\/p>\n<p>Der DTM Classic DRM Cup ist die zweite, zu Jahresbeginn neu eingef\u00fchrte Rennserie f\u00fcr historische Rennwagen der DTM-Organisation ITR, vorbehalten f\u00fcr die Fahrzeuge der Deutschen Rennsport-Meisterschaft (DRM) der Siebzigerjahre. Nur zwei Wochen nach dem AvD-Oldtimer-Grand-Prix, n\u00e4mlich vom 26. bis 28. August, pr\u00e4sentiert der DTM Classic DRM Cup erneut historischen Motorsport der Spitzenklasse in der Eifel, dar\u00fcber hinaus starten die weltbesten Fahrer der DTM, die Talentschmiede DTM Trophy und weitere Rennserien.
