Der f\u00fcnffache Gewinner des Porsche Carrera-Cups und zweimalige DTM-Vizemeister hat sich nach seiner sportlichen Laufbahn der Restauration und dem Einsatz historischer Rennfahrzeuge verschrieben. Zusammen mit seinem Sohn Sebastian (37), dem zweimaligen Gesamtsieger des ADAC-GT-Masters, bringt er nun bei der Jubil\u00e4umsausgabe des Oldtimer-Grand-Prix einen komplett neu aufgebauten Ford Sierra Cosworth RS 500 DTM im Rennen 1 an den Start.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201eDas Fahrzeug habe ich schon 2012 direkt von Ford gekauft \u2013 und zwar genau in dem Jahr in dem ich das ADAC-GT-Masters gewonnen habe \u2013 deshalb kann ich mir die Jahreszahl so genau merken\u201c, sagt Sebastian Asch. \u201eBei Ford diente dieses Fahrzeug lange Zeit als Entwicklungs- und Testtr\u00e4ger, wurde aber auch vereinzelt in der Tourenwagen-Europameisterschaft eingesetzt \u2013 und war zum Schlu\u00df nur noch reines Showcar.\u201c, sagt der 37-J\u00e4hrige. \u201eIn Anlehnung an das Design meines Vaters beim Rennen 1990 in Spa-Francorchamps haben wir das Auto im damaligen Bastos-Design lackiert, haben es aber in \u201eBastis\u201c verwandelt. Schlie\u00dflich werde ich selbst ja auch nur mit \u201eBasti\u201c und selten mit Sebastian angeredet.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>\u201eNachdem das Auto mehrere Jahre in der Ecke gestanden hat haben wir es in den letzten beiden Jahren komplett neu aufgebaut und sind damit im Mai zum ersten Mal beim Bosch-Hockenheim-Historic gestartet, wo wir leider mit einem Lichtmaschinenschaden ausgefallen sind,\u201c erz\u00e4hlt Roland Asch. \u201eHier am N\u00fcrburgring l\u00e4uft es bisher perfekt, denn wir sind sowohl im freien, als auch im Qualifying Drittschnellster gewesen.\u201c Wer das Vater-Sohn-Gespann im Fahrerlager am Werk sieht, erlebt ein bestens eingespieltes Familienunternehmen \u2013 und so ist die Arbeitsteilung an diesem Wochenende keine Frage: \u201eIm ersten Rennen am Samstag f\u00e4hrt mein Vater den Sierra und ich starte am Sonntag im zweiten Lauf\u201c, erkl\u00e4rt der Filius. Und Vater Roland lobt den Sohn: \u201eSebastian hat mir im Qualifying einen tollen Startplatz herausgefahren. Obwohl ich mit dem Auto noch nie im Regen gefahren bin \u2013 und am Samstag soll es ja regnen \u2013 hoffe ich auf \u0301s Podium fahren zu k\u00f6nnen\u201c, sagt der 72-J\u00e4hrige. Er ist in diesem Jahr \u00fcbrigens sogar Doppelstarter, denn im zweiten Rennen der \u201eTourenwagen Goldene \u00c4ra\u201c am Sonntag pilotiert der langj\u00e4hrige Mercedes-Werksfahrer den Mercedes-Benz 190 Evo1 von Ferdi Weischenberger (Start-Nr. #4).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload alignnone size-full wp-image-28814\"
